Looks suited and should go close. RUSSIAN AHEAD (6) had the drop on the lead early on but could only manage third, beaten 6 lengths (30.15) at Wanganui in a Class 5 over 520m. Can measure up. TURTLE WATCH (3) led throughout to score two back then drifted back and missed the frame latest finishing a 4.5 lengths 4th at this track (25.79). One of the better hopes. OPAWA THUNDER (8) generally performs well here at this distance.
