Some key scratchings thin this race right out. THE GLEN (2) settled at the back of a small field over 1100m at Goulburn recently before making minor inroads to finish fourth. Clearly needs this sort of trip now and the winkers going on could be a key gear change. Great room for improvement at just his third race start. ENDLESS APPLAUSE (5) went okay first-up at Goulburn last start after almost a year off the scene, giving away a decent start at the top of the lane before stretching out nicely at the end of 1300m. Should take plenty from that hit-out and is a definite contender. CLOSETHEDOORDARCY (7) led for the judge but the early effort told and she tired for third over 1100m at Goulburn recently. Less pressure today over the longer journey, Very fit now and should be prominent for a long way. ZIPPY ARGENTO (6) did his best work late to get up for second when resuming over 1200m at Queanbeyan last start. Strips fitter and will be hard to hold out. WIRE TO WIRE (10) has minor claims.
