Warrnambool (G) Race 4

Happy Birthday Trevor Mclaren

Prize Money: $3,360

WET BLANKET (3) was in the money last time at Wanganui (30.46) in a Class 3, finishing a 3 length second. Has already won out of this draw. Looks well placed and should feature. OPAWA SCOOTER (5) was out of the placings last time when seventh at The Meadows (30.82) but did record second best time of the card when winning five back. In the mix. PAW NASCENT (2) made light work of the tricky draw with a scorching early sectional but swamped late when a close up fourth (22.67) at Geelong over 400m. Will give the top chances plenty to think about. MYRNIONG STORM (1) is not to be discarded.

Big odds last time but gave a huge sight after a scorching early split, weakening late to finish a 4 length fourth (22.67) over 400m at Geelong. Leading chance who should prove hard to beat.

Form has been strong, including a victory two starts back. Last time out finished 3rd in a Grade 5 on October 8 over 390m at this track behind Paw Zany beaten 1.3 lengths (22.24). Not far away last time but this is a stiff test.
