RISE AT DAWN (4) took the field up to a big leader and did well to hold on for third when resuming in the Listed Tontonan at Flemington a fortnight ago. Beaten half a length in the Doncaster last prep so he has the class to mix it at this level. Will go forward and give a great sight. Lightly raced and talented mare SHOHISHA (12) ground out a tough win in a BM94 over the Randwick mile last start. Perfectly drawn and stays down in the weights for this big test. The figure returned last time suggests she is up to this. WATERFORD (8) travelled rearwards and wide so had little hope first-up in the Tramway. Has four wins and two minors from seven tries at the 1500m here. Can figure prominently. OSIPENKO (3) can improve after a sound return in the Tramway three weeks ago.
