OVERLAND BOY (2) jumped cleanly from the rails to lead much the way when second (34.46) at this track in a Grade 4/5 over 595m. Didn't win last time but still ran one of the quickest times on the card. Expected to be in this for a long way. BRINDLE SURPRISE (8) boasts a strong record this course with two wins and two minors from five tries. In the money last time at this track (34.29) in a Free For All, finishing a 3.5 lengths second. Can feature in the finish. JONI BLACK (6) was a winner two back then strongly fancied last time but could only manage a second (34.69) at this track.

Struggling to break through but racing consistently, finishing in the minors three starts on end. Last time out flew the lids with a fast early sectional but gathered in and finished in the minors when second (34.46) at this track over 595m. Rates highly and looks tough to beat.
