We are treated to a cracking edition of the G2 Expressway. ANGEL CAPITAL (1) has always carried hype, and while he couldn't quite land the big punch last prep, he lost no admirers. He's electric fresh, looks to have come back in superb order, and this feels like the campaign where he really goes on with it. Expect him to be launching in unison with JOLIESTAR (3), another lethal fresh performer. Her arrogant win in the Shorts in the spring still echoes loudly, and two sharp trials plus a reunion with McDonald set her up to be right there when the race is decided. LADY SHENANDOAH (4) is another star resuming and has few chinks in her armour. She should land ahead of the two big closers, and if they hand her too much rope, she'll make them pay. CABALLUS (5) was a dominant trial winner and has the tactical speed to pinch a break if the big guns get too cute. COAL CRUSHER (2) is as tough as they come and will take plenty of running down if allowed.
