Melton Race 8

Aldebaran Park Gavin Lang Memorial 2yo Trotting Colts & Geldings

Prize Money: $20,000

REGAL GALA (5) is a reliable young trotter who made it two wins in a row when he led to score by 8 metres at Maryborough last time. Yet to miss a place here and has the speed to push forward from this barrier. Big chance to land the hat trick. INSULATOR (4) has been consistent since winning a Vicbred heat at this venue, chasing well for second to REGAL GALA last start. Proven at this shorter distance. Go well again. PHOENIX REX (6) broke after the standing start last time so may enjoy getting back behind a mobile. Has won three of five tries here including his lone attempt at this distance. LUXALICIOUS (2) did well for third on debut in a Listed race behind star youngster Verbici at Menangle. Well drawn and open to improvement.
