SPARRING (1) has a strong record here with five wins and three placings from 13 starts. Placed last time (29.86) at this track in a Mix 4/5 FIN, finishing second and beaten 2.25 lengths. Rates a leading player. BLACK STAR RIOT (3) can keep on winning after a brilliant last start success, getting around the 450m at Ballarat in 24.89. This tougher but looks a leading chance again. MEPUNGA EXPRESS (2) is a capable type and proved too classy last time to win by 2.25 lengths at this track in a handy 29.71 beating SPARRING. One of the key runners again. HAPPY DAD (7) is among the chances again if he runs up to the latest effort.

Missed the frame last start when a 7 length sixth (30.16) at this track. Previous form sound including a win three back at Sale. Has ability but this tough and looks a place chance at best.

Hit the ground running with a slick early sectional but ran over late and missed the frame when a 1.75 lengths fourth (29.92) over 515m at this track. Can't enthuse on this occasion.
