Albion Park Race 2

Benstud Standardbreds Pace

Prize Money: $9,120

FIRE AND PASSION (6) has been freshened since fading out as favourite at his latest appearance but has been kept up to the mark with a trial win. Winner at this circuit and distance three back. Smart colt who can beat these if anywhere near his best. UNCLE TONY (1) didn't feature from the back row last start but had led to win here prior so can take advantage of the ace draw. Worth another chance. WILLIAMS (2) draws well and is heading the right way, coming from wider last time out to finish third at this venue. BITE THE EAR MIKE (3) had a tough draw at Marburg last time but won three in a row here prior, all from this row so can bounce back.

Two back was well beaten into eighth after being driven well back, behind Major Crunch at this track over 2138m in a 4yo+ on September 26 at $13. Then a handy effort when well beaten into third after a quick start, behind Mostert at this track over 1660m in a 4yo+ on October 3 at $41. Draws for a strong showing.

Ran well last start showing plenty of improvement following October 2 run. Last start posted a big 3 m win (Fr4) at this track (1:56.50) beating Sweet Rocky in 3yo+ on October 6 at $7.50 at the bell was leading 0.28. This race will be harder than that win. Found a few ahead of him this time.

Expected Settling Position: Midfield
