Mount Gambier Race 2

The Storm Inside @ Alabar Pace

Prize Money: $5,000

EASTBRO KAZ (6) should find this easier than the last attempt at Melton and was good when placed after working at Maryborough prior. Draws wide but goes well at this circuit and distance with two wins and three placings from six attempts. WE FAVOUR ROSIE (1) has been coming from wider barriers but was runner-up at Horsham the last time she started on the pegs so is better served. OUR BELLA LUCIA (5) resumes after three-and-a-half months but scored back-to-back Melton wins last time in and has a decent record when fresh. SPORTY ROCKS (3) led from this barrier when she won three back at Ararat. Can feature.

Capable of better than we have seen lately. Last start was well back in the run when 8th (Fr5) over 1700m at Horsham was 10th-19.4 at the bell, beaten 18 m by Jilliby Zucchini (2:02.00) on October 5 at $19. The run previous finished 6th (Fr2) over 1680m after showing early speed at Terang was 4th-6.8 at the bell, beaten 10 m by Imagination Oro (2:01.40) on September 28 at $19. Draws the inside so worth another chance.

Expected Settling Position: Leader
