Gavea Race 3

Premio Gulf Star

Prize Money: $9,918

NEW HIGH FLIGHT (2) closed last campaign with back-to-back placings, the last of which was at this track four months ago. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Among the leading chances. UIRAPURU (1) is fresh from a spell of five-and-a-half months and did hit the frame when last resuming at this track over 1300m. In a different yard now. Can make his presence felt. VINHO TINTO (4) has not raced since his debut back on June 28 when he finished fifth over 1400m at this track. Open to improvement and can feature. ROUND THE FLAG (5) turned in a much better effort last start when beaten only 1.5 lengths into second at this track over 1300m. Has the pace to settle in the leading division. Leading contender.
