Nottingham Bags Race 5

Sporting Fingers Greyhound Dog Of The Month September 2026

Prize Money: $924

FERRYFORTH MARY (3) was in the placings last time but shapes well for this on her brilliant win three back, getting around this track over 500m in 29.81. Should be in this for a long way. SPORTING FINGERS (6) placed last time (30.83) at this track in a HCP, finishing second and beaten half a length. Already a winner from this trap. Looks one of the chances. FORTANACH ELSIE (5) showed pleasing improvement after a minor placing two starts ago, winning a handicap when started off 2m by 2.5 lengths last time in a HCP at this track over 500m (30.64). Takes on another here and will jump off 1m. Talented handicapper who has one win and one placings from three runs from the staggered start. Sure to be very competitive. OVERTAKER (4) has impressed of late, finishing in the money two back at this track then switching to a handicap breaking from 5m and grabbing second at this track over 500m (31.12). Will jump from the 6m mark. Must be considered.

Could only manage sixth last time out over 500m at this track, a continuation of some ordinary form. Likely to struggle this time.

Makes her debut in a handicap and will break 12m from scratch. Returned with a moderate fourth, beaten 8 lengths, (31.54) at this track over 500m. This looks tough - others rate better.

Better effort latest. Unplaced fresh then finished second laast time breaking from the 7m mark in a handicap at this track over 500m (30.84). Jumps with a 6m advantage. Tidy performer who is hard to go past.

Good effort after racing in the second half of the field and improving to score in a HCP by 2.5 len at this track over 500m (30.64). Deserved winner last time after finishing in the money two on end prior to that.
