Q1 Lakeside Race 5

Golden Chase Noms Close Saturday

Prize Money: $2,400

BRILLIANT BLUE (7) was strongly fancied to break through last time and justified the confidence with a maiden win at Q Straight over 350m (19.44). Boxed wide here. Looks the one to beat. TIGER GURU (1) was narrowly beaten when placing two back but missed the frame latest finishing fourth (16.98) in a Grade 6 at Q Straight. Can hit the frame this time. NEVER GIVING UP (2) was below best at her last start when 6th at this track following a second place finish (20.03) there two back. Has ability and is one of the better chances. MERCEDES BELLE (3) can finish much closer after missing a cheque at this track last start.
