MEPUNGA DONNA (4) broke a string of placings finishing in the money two on end before a last start seventh (42.20) at Wentworth Park. Solid record here winning four races. Can atone. BEST FOR LAST (1) turned in a modest effort most recently when sixth at this track over 595m behind Steal The Stage (34.88) in a Grade 4/5. Can figure in the finish. FLYING SARA (2) was in the minors two back (38.72) at Ballarat but ran below best last time at Bendigo, finishing 6th. Solid formlines coming through her last run. Should play a prominent role. Was out of the placings last time but the start prior finished in the minors when second (38.72) at big odds over 660m at Ballarat. Draws an inside box and is worth plenty of thought.
