Globe Derby Race 5

2026 Allenby Lodge Stud 3yo Pacing Fillies Southern Cross Series (Heat 1)

Prize Money: $8,000

HILLTOP BLOSSOM (1) comes here fresh from victory at Listed level 11 months ago over 1800m at this track, scoring by 4 metres. The one to beat from an ideal draw. MISS NASHVILLE (7) finished seventh first-up last time out when she broke in a 1609m event at Port Pirie a week-and-a-half ago. Tactics will be crucial from this wide draw. Must improve her manners but a much better run is on the cards. BAY LA VILLE (3) was responsible for a better effort last time out when runner-up over 1800m at this track. Should run a big race. CENTREFOLD STAR (6) did a good job to finish in the minor placings two runs back then her luck changed last time when she broke and finished a long way back in tenth over 2230m at this track. Must get things right but if she does a big run is on the cards.

Two back was beaten by 6 m finishing fourth behind Grumpypants Gracie at this track over 1800m in a 3yo on September 26 at $2.40. Then a handy effort when a close second behind B T Captivate at this track over 1800m on October 3 at $2.90. Another bold showing expected.

Last start was well beaten after breaking at this track on November 2. Two runs back 3rd (Fr3) over 1800m after showing early pace at this track was 3rd-2.6 at the bell, beaten 6 m by A Major Starr (2:11.90) on October 26 at $14. Unlikely to threaten in this tougher assignment.

Expected Settling Position: Midfield
