Towcester Bags Race 9

Betway Standard

Prize Money: $1,476

DROOPYS FEARLESS (5) turned in a better run last time to find a minor placing (40.21) at Valley behind Ashway June in a OR. Has the early speed to give a sight. Didn't win last time but still ran one of the quickest times on the card. Expected to feature in the finish again. TIMMYS HUNTER (6) is generally an honest type in the frame at 23 of 43 starts but missed the placings last time when fourth (29.30) over 500m at Sheffield. Form at the trip sound including five wins. Will go close here with a clear run. VELVET JOE (1) was out of the placings last time but shapes well for this on his enormous win a few runs back, getting around Doncaster over 483m in 29.36. Rates a leading chance if runs up to recent winning time. SAVANA DEVON (3) can fill a top-three spot.

Sent out long odds last time but rocketed out of the boxes with a scorching early sectional and gave a sight before being swallowed up late, finishing a 6 length fifth (29.68) over 500m at this track. Prepared to risk on this occasion.
